My name is Amy. I moved from the U.S. to Hong Kong just over three years ago. Before moving to Hong Kong, I spent a year in South Korea teaching classes of 4-6 students ages 3-15 in a private tutoring center. When I first moved to Hong Kong I taught both business English and advanced grammar workshops at Hong Kong Baptist University. During my time at HKBU, I also held editing services and one-on-one consultations with the final year students, mainly focusing on their final year honors theses. I have privately tutored a wide range of clients including middle-aged business English clients as well as early childhood general English clients. I am currently teaching at a primary school on Hong Kong Island. Because I earned my Master's degree in Hong Kong I am currently holding an IANG visa. Growing up in the US I attended an elite boarding school in New England, as well as a well-ranked private university on the East Coast. I would love to connect with students interested in studying abroad as I could share my experiences with them and help them to prepare for interviews. Experience
In 2014, I earned a bachelor's degree in Asian studies with a minor in political science from Rollins College. Then, in 2017, I earned a master's in corporate governance and directorship at the Hong Kong Baptist University. I also attended an elite college preparatory boarding and day school called the Westover School, which I graduated from in 2010.

Hobbies
I am also a yoga teacher with 700 hours of certified training completed in India and Indonesia. Although it is not a subject option on this site I am actively seeking to expand my yoga client base. I specialize in mindfulness rather than focusing solely on the physical practice. Generally, I work one-to-one with clients to tailor-make a well balanced yoga session for mind, body, and emotional well-being. The content of the sessions will adapt and progress as the client deepens his or her practice. However, I am open to small group classes as well as corporate workshops, too.
